Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Anime to Premiere in April

It has been recently revealed that the television adaptation of Keiichi Sigsawa’s Sword Art Online: Alternative Gun Gale Online novel series will premiere in April.

Tomori Kusunoki as Llenn (Karen Kohiruimaki)
Yōko Hikasa as Pitohui
Chinatsu Akasaki as Fukaziroh (Miyu Shinohara)
Kazuyuki Okitsu as Goushi “M” Asougi

It will certainly be interesting to see how relative newcomer Tomari Kusunoki preforms in the role of the main character Karen Kohiruimaki but we’ll be able can gauge her ability early as she plays Hazuki Kagimura in this anime seasons Märchen Mädchen.

In conjunction with the upcoming release of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, from Bandai Namco, Llenn and Pitohui will also be playable characters within the game. Fatal Bullet is set to release on February 23rd in the West so we’ll be getting familiar with these new characters sometime before the anime premieres.

Keiichi Sigsawa (Kino’s Journey) launched the light novel series in 2014 with the first volume to be released in English by Yen Press in June of this year. The manga adaption by Tadadi Tamori also being published in English by Yen Press and saw its first volume released last November.
