I wonder if we can go a week without mentioning the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell… oops oh well. So, the GITS live-action is out in cinema’s right now so go and see it if you’re curious but initial impressions don’t look too good. On a better note, Persona 5 launches tomorrow but if like us you were one of the lucky few then you might have already been enjoying it over the weekend. Without further ado let’s get into the week ahead!
Funimation kicks off the week in anime with another dose of Fairy Tail as Fairy Tail Part 13 makes its way to DVD. All the Anime releases a standard edition Blu-ray of Gankutsuou – Count of Monte Cristo and a title that perfectly accompanies the long-awaited release of Persona 5 and that is Persona 3 – Movie 2 which comes to both standard edition DVD and a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and DVD combo pack.
Lastly, Manga Entertainment releases a standard edition Blu-ray of Pokemon Movie Collection. If the Ghost in the Shell live-action left a sour taste in your mouth then don’t forget last week Manga Entertainment released a selection of classic Ghost in the Shell titles for Blu-ray and DVD.
A better selection of Manga releases incoming this week compared to the meagre offerings of the previous. A couple of debuts and plenty of fan favourites to get stuck into this week including Assassination Classroom, Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Haikyu!! and much more.
Possibly the most important week for a lot of fans out there and that’s due to the release of Persona 5! Atlus USA and Deep Silver have worked hard to get us the game we’ve all waited and wanted for so long. Forgive us if we go silent for the foreseeable future but Persona 5!
