The live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell (yes I’m starting the week with that again) sees it’s release in cinemas this week and we’ll definitely be keeping a keen eye on its performance. Outside of live-action adaptation, however, we have the usual weekly dose of anime and manga release to get through.
So without further ado, and as we mentioned last week All the Anime are releasing the Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy on Blu-ray which is an AlltheAnime.com exclusive. The release itself comes in a rigid art box (featuring better artwork than the box for the TV series) housing three separate Amaray cases each containing one movie.
Serial Experiment Lain returns to the UK in Collector’s Edition form as a Blu-ray and DVD combo from MVM Entertainment. One Piece Collection 16 heads to DVD courtesy of Manga Entertainment and Funimation release Snow White with the Red Hair Part 1 on Blu-ray only.
Last week I employed the phrase “what a difference a week makes” and that couldn’t be a more apt description once again as this week sees a very modest selection of manga titles hitting retail. Still, it’s not all sour faces as Flying Witch debuts from Vertical Inc and Kodansha release Otomo: A Global Tribute to the Genius Behind Akira which looks like a must have for any anime fan!
