Hiro Mashima, the author of the hugely popular Fairy Tail series, is already hard at work on a new series titled Edens Zero. The first chapter of Edens Zero went live as simulpub launched on Crunchyroll Manga on 26th June.
Edens Zero is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine and will see weekly simulpubs on the Crunchyroll Manga service. Chapters will be available to Crunchyroll’s Premium Users worldwide except for Japan.
Synopsis: Eleven months after the grand finale of Fairy Tail, master mangaka Hiro Mashima is back with a great adventure beyond imagination! All the steadfast friendship, crazy fighting, and blue cats you’ve come to expect… IN SPACE!
A young boy gazes up at the sky and sees a streaming bolt of light. The friendly, armor-clad being at his side tells him gently, “That’s a dragon.” The fact that he’s joking isn’t important. What’s important is the look of wonder on the boy’s face… and the galaxy-spanning adventure that’s about to take place! Join Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail, Rave Master) once more as he takes to the stars for another thrilling saga!
That’s not all in the world of Hiro Mashima and Fairy Tail, however, as Mashima revealed a new spinoff series tentatively titled Fairy Tail City Hero. As Mashima is hard at work with Edens Zero this spinoff series will see Ushio Andō on board for story and art. Fairy Tail City Hero is set to debut this Autumn (Fall), Mashima has also teased plans of a Fairy Tail sequel spinoff manga so there’s clearly no end of plans in the works that’ll keep Fairy Tail fans happy.
