Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remaster TV Commercial Released

The UK YouTube channel for Square Enix has released a TV commercial for the upcoming Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remaster on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Scheduled for release in the USA on 18th March and in the UK on 21st March, Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remaster is the latest set of Square Enix games to receive an HD makeover.

Originally released in 2001 on PlayStation 2, followed by the first Final Fantasy sequel in X-2 being released in 2003. Final Fantasy X is widely popular, bringing new elements to the genre and the first Final Fantasy to use voiced characters.

Set in the world of Spira the story follows Tidus, a Blitzball star from Zanarkand who wakes out up to find himself in Spira after an attack from Sin on his home city. Tidus joins Yuna, a summoner; on her pilgrimage to destroy Sin and bring the Calm back to Spira.

This HD Remaster brings with it re-arranged background music, extra content in the form of the game being the International Edition of Final Fantasy X that was never released in North America. The International Edition was released in Europe but under the original title of Final Fantasy X . Trophies are as standard and cross-save compatibility between PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The PlayStation 3 version of the HD Remaster will come in both a standard and collector’s edition release, while the PlayStation Vita version will just be a standard edition with X-2 being included as a download code.
