Viz Media has announced several upcoming digital exclusive manga titles due for release in Fall 2021.
The digital exclusive route is an interesting choice on behalf of Viz. These series all exist as part of the Shonen Jump service which gains you full access to these and many more for a small fee of £1.99/month. Three of the announced titles have already ended serialisation and therefore will feature a limited long-time return. The interesting element of this announcement is the inclusion of Me & Roboco and Magu-chan: God of Destruction. Perhaps two of the weaker currently ongoing entries in the Weekly Shonen Jump line-up. But, does this show a lack of confidence in their performance by Viz or does this announcement elude a future cancellation of these series from the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump?
