The successor to Senran Kagura Burst, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus makes its way from the PS Vita to PC as the latest port from XSEED and Marvelous USA, Inc. And with it, shinobi titties and sexy wardrobe malfunctions have become available for the PC audience.
Steam gives an overview of the game:
The non-PC buxom shinobi of SENRAN KAGURA, the brawler series that’s as over-the-top with its fighting mechanics as it is with its gratuitous depictions of female ninja in various forms of undress, invade the PC realm for the first time in HD and 60fps glory.
Shinovi Versus is the direct sequel to Burst, where the girls of the Hanzou National Academy must face a new threat to their everyday livelihood: Gessen Girls’ Academy. With the introduction of a new enemy, the girls are burdened with the question of what it means to be a true shinobi while facing against girls more powerful than they are. The story is told in various perspectives, split into four parts with each following a team of girls from different schools. It is not necessary to play Burst to understand Shinovi Versus’ plot, however, it is definitely is recommended to further understand the background of the Crimson Squad.
The sequel game transitions from its predecessor’s side scroll gameplay style to that of hack and slash. With over 20 playable characters, each with their own story arcs and unique playing style, Shinovi Versus is definitely not lacking in diversity, especially with the option to customize the girls’ appearances with a myriad of costumes to choose from. Each character has three different forms: normal, shinobi, and flash. Depending on the form used, the flash, yin, and yang balance meters may increase, allowing the character to learn new techniques. Along with story mode, which has an adjustable difficulty setting, players can play with others in online multiplayer which has various modes that can include who can collect the most panties.
Visually, the game is stunning to say the least with delicious bouncing boobies and clothes ripping left and right. Those that want to get this game for the eye-candy will not be disappointed, especially when you can rip the clothes off girls to the point where they are naked. (With rays of light and censorship stickers, unfortunately, covering the goodies.) Customizable costumes help players create appearances for the characters that best fit their preferences.
In terms of the PC port aspect, the game can run in 1080p with 60 fps. Unfortunately, the PC version does not have an anti-aliasing option or other filters to smooth out the jagged lines on sprites. And although the keyboard and mouse controls can be improved, players can remap them however they like. Using a controller is the best alternative and feels the most natural.
