Persona 5 Release Delayed till April 2017 to Include Japanese Audio!

If you didn’t see the news yesterday then this morning will certainly be full of mixed emotions as Persona 5 sees another delay. Originally set to release on 14th February 2017 for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 it has now been pushed back to 4th April 2017. The reason for this delay is actually the good part of this news in that the game will now feature dual audio options. The Japanese audio will be available as DLC content at launch and will be completely free!

This is great news and somewhat of a victory for fans outside of Japan. The Persona games have always featured a pretty decent English dub but have lacked that Japanese audio track that fans desperately crave. This has been a hotly debated issue since the game’s reveal and finally the fans have won out on what seemed like something that shouldn’t even be an issue.

This news comes straight from Atlus USA who have stated it was made possible “through a herculean effort” take from that what you will. Ultimately though we the fans have had our say so come 4th April 2017 we are free to choose which audio option we prefer.

That’s not all though as there is also an update to the “Take Your Heart” premium edition of Persona 5, see image below for confirmed artwork for the soundtrack, artbook and steelbook and of course the collector’s box.
