With all the attention firmly locked on the 2017 E3 conference and all the brand new game announcements that it brings with it, we try and divert a little attention towards all the anime and manga releases coming to retail this week.
We kick-off the week with a return to the popular Black Butler franchise where All the Anime bring it’s third season Black Butler: Book of Circus to Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and Standard Edition DVD. Also from All the Anime under the Funimation label is Overlord Season 1 Collection which is available as a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray, Standard Blu-ray and Standard DVD. Prison School Collection also makes it’s way to Collector’s Edition Blu-ray this week. Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? Season 1 from Animatsu Entertainment comes as a Deluxe Edition Combo Pack, you can read our review here. Manga Entertainment releases more Yu-Gi-Oh! in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Season 3 which comes to DVD only. Lastly, from MVM Entertainment Serial Experiments Lain Collection returns on Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD.
A better week for manga releases and we see a couple of new series debuts with Ahogaru: Clueless Girl, Dreamin’ Sun and The High School Life of a Fudanshi all seeing the release of their first volumes.
This week sees the release of God Wars: Future Past on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita courtesy of NIS America.
