Omega Labyrinth Z Western Release Cancelled

Unfortunately, it appears that PQube Games’ release of Omega Labyrinth Z in Europe and North America has been cancelled.

PQube are pretty well known for there games that court controversy but this is the first time for the company and a first since 2007 that a video game has been refused certification for release in the UK from The Video Standards Council Ratings Board. While the game did receive ratings in other PEGI region areas as well as the ESRB in North America ultimately the “platform holder” has decided not to allow the game’s release on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. That said Omega Labyrinth Z was released in Japan in July 2017.

Here’s the full statement from PQube on the subject:

PQube strives to release Japanese content for its fans as close to the source material as possible. In the case of Omega Labyrinth Z, while PQube has worked with all relevant age rating bodies in their respective territories, PQube must respectfully comply with the wishes of the platform holder and have therefore withdrawn any future plans for Omega Labyrinth Z’s European and North American release on PS4 and PS Vita.
