Heavy Anime-users can now gettheir Marvel fix as Madhouse has announced the release of *deep breath* Marvel’sAvengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher. The title doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue but the anime does look pretty top notch.
Sony Pictures are footing the bill and are aimingfor a DVD and Blu-Ray release on March 25 th . This is the latest in arelatively long line of collaborations for Madhouse and Marvel; past effortshave included X-Men , Wolverine , the lesser known Blade and of course the titanium-alloy,Downey-assisted Iron Man.
The premise is outlined thusly; although the otheravengers are of course involved (title would be a tat obsolete otherwise)primary ammunition is given to A-lister Black Widow and moody bastard ThePunisher. The latter is taken intocustody by S.H.I.E.L.D just as a new terrorist organization emerges; S.W.O.R.D.
