Persona 4 The Golden Animation

Persona 4 The Golden Animation will be hitting television screens in Japan this time next month, with the start of the summer anime season of 2014. Persona 4 is the fifth installment of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, a spin-off to the Megami Tensei series. It has already received one animation adaptation by AIC ASTA back in 2011, titled Persona 4 The Animation . This new anime adaptation is based on the recent Persona 4 The Golden remake for Playstation Vita, boasting new persona, dialogue and cut scenes to accommodate the new character Marie (Hanazawa Kana), bringing with it extra social links for both Marie and Tohru Adachi (Mitsuaki Madono).

The cast from both versions of the game and the previous anime adaptation will be returning, the majority of the staff will also be returning but will see some role changes namely the director now being Tomohisa Taguchi and with Seiji Kishi as chief director. The staff and cast may be relatively unchanged, but one big change to come about with this adaptation is the animation studio behind it – A-1 Pictures . With a new animation studio in the mix this should dispel fears of reused footage from the previous adaptation where the quality wasn’t quite up to scratch, the script will also be changed to fit in the new character and the extra story that goes along with it.

Persona 4 The Golden Animation begins airing on 10th July in Japan, hopefully we won’t have to wait long to find out which companies will be streaming the anime, in UK that honour went to Animax UK whether they will carry this one too we’ll have to wait and see.
