The Week in Review [2 – 7 June]

Anime and Reality – Ikebukuro/Durarara!!

Our writer Jack continues his adventures in Japan, this time experiencing Sumo Wrestling. Japans’ official and oldest national sport has been readily dragged, parodied and stereotyped all over the western world, leaving a very typical image of itself rippling in its wake, but there’s also quite a bit more to it. Kuru is back with a follow up to the ‘ Gundam: A Guide to Timelines in Anime ‘ this time taking a more in-depth look at the biggest timeline in the Gundam franchise – Universal Century. Chronologically ordering the anime series to include a handful of related manga series and novels, we also see some new works in progress being discussed, find out what’s happening here !
