Only days away MCM London Comic Con will see legions of anime, comic book, game and fans of everything in-between converge on London and enjoy some of the best times of the year. Member of the Japan Curiosity staff will, of course, be in attendance covering the events so if you happen to find a wild J-CuriMon be sure to say hi! Before we get too excited and lose our heads though there’s a number of anime, manga and game releases to talk about.
We begin the week with a couple of releases from Manga Entertainment with the first being Digimon Adventure Tri The Movie Part 1 which comes to Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and Standard Edition DVD. Also from Manga is the brilliant film about Japan’s most successful rock band We Are X which comes to Blu-ray as a Steelbook Edition as well as a Standard Edition DVD.
MVM Entertainment brings us more Monogatari in the form of Owarimonogatari Part 2 which comes to both Blu-ray and DVD.
Lastly, from All the Anime we have the third instalment of the Persona 3 movie series with Persona 3 Movie #3 Falling Down which comes as a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and DVD Combi Pack and a Standard Edition DVD and Selector Infected Wixoss Collector’s Edition Collection on Blu-ray.
Coming to digital release this week is A Silent Voice which is available to rent and buy on Amazon Video, iTunes and Google Play and other select UK digital platform on May 22nd, for full details head on over to AlltheAnime.com
Plenty of manga releases to get excited about this week and no doubt a lot of them will be making an appearance at MCM London Comic Con. A couple of interesting titles to look out for this week include Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju, Royal Tutor and Your Name.
It’s a great week for Nintendo Switch owners and Disgaea fans as Disgaea 5 Complete gives the system and much needed tactical role-playing game and we’ve been really enjoying our time with it, expect a review very soon. Elsewhere though Koei Tecmo releases Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada on PlayStation 4 and Steam and Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception heads to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita courtesy of Deep Silver.
