The Summer 2017 anime season is almost upon and we’re all eagerly awaiting announcements on what services will be simulcasting what series. We will as always have season preview/streaming guide for the new season going live later this week. For now, though, let’s take a look at what’s anime, manga and games are coming to retail this week.
We’ll begin the week with what All the Anime has to offer and there is a fair bit of it so let’s get stuck in. Anthem of the Heart comes to Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack in two Collector’s Edition sets, one is the is the standard version that will be available through most retailers. the other is a Zavvi.com exclusive variant cover which is our opinion is the better looking of the two.
Also from All the Anime comes Belladonna of Sadness Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and Charlotte Part 1 Collector’s Edition Combo Pack and Standard Edition DVD. You can read our review of Charlotte Part 1 here.
Happily coinciding with the recent conclusion of the second season and the announcement of a third Funimation release the Attack on Titan spin-off series Attack on Titan: Junior High Collection Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. MVM Entertainment release Amagami SS Plus Season 2 Collection on Blu-ray and DVD and lastly, Manga Entertainment release Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Complete Season 1 on DVD.
Land of the Lustrous makes its debut this week and is joined by the likes of Log Horizon, Persona 3, One Piece and more.
The week sees the release of Valkyria Revolution on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from Deep Silver and SEGA.
