We enter our third week of 2017 and there appears to be a calm period in everything that is anime, manga and games. No doubt a precursor to what is to come later in the month and in the year.
So we kick off the week with our sole anime release Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis Limited Edition Steelbook from Eureka Entertainment. Directed by Rintaro (Astro Boy, Galaxy Express 999), scripted by Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, Steamboy) and based on the manga of the same name from “the godfather of manga” himself Osamu Tezuka. The release also includes a making-of documentary as well as interviews with the film’s creators. If Steelbook’s aren’t for you then fret not as a standard edition is scheduled for release on 13th March.
Viz Media dominate the world of manga release this week with titles such as Haikyu!!, One-Punch Man and Seraph of the End. Dark Horse Manga continue to provide us with more awesome Astro Boy Omnibus‘ and Kodansha Comics bring us Interviews With Monster Girls which has a currently airing anime as part of the Winter 2017 season.
Lastly, you have some games coming our way this week with Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea on PlayStation Vita from Koei Tecmo and Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita from Marvelous.
