It has too be said that after last week’s round of anime delays the month of August is looking a lot less full. This week is certainly looking a little modest but there’s still so great titles to be had!
With that said lets dive into what is actually being released this week. First up with have Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East Season 1 Collection available on both Blu-ray and DVD from MVM Entertainment. Expect to see a review for Hakkenden on the site over the next couple of days. Second and possibly one of the more anticipated titles for August and that is Studio Ghibli‘s Only Yesterday which is available on both a Blu-ray / DVD combi pack and a standard DVD. This is the 25th anniversary edition of Only Yesterday and features an all-new English dub track.
It’s a rather quiet week for manga/light novels but there’s far from nothing available. Dorohedoro sees it’s 19th volume release via Viz Media; Kiss Him, Not Me volume 6, the debut of The Wolf-Boy is Mine! come from Kodansha Comics as does an Attack on Titan Adult Colouring Book (if that interests you). Last but not least Vertical Inc bring us the second volume of To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts.
