Meet The Velvet Room Wardens Caroline & Justine in the Latest Persona 5 Trailer

The latest Persona 5 trailer from Atlus USA and Deep Silver introduces us to Igor’s assistants and Wardens of The Velvet Room Caroline and Justine. Their function in the game is to act as “rehabilitation” officers who oversee the protagonist during his stay. Yes, our protagonist is a prisoner of his own Velvet Room. Unlike previous games, our protagonist doesn’t have full access to fusing Persona and must earn the privilege through completing prison work and spending time with Caroline and Justine.

Our protagonist, and ourselves by extension are going to have a tough time dealing with these two we reckon. We’re also very interested in getting to grips with this new mechanic of The Velvet Room and have to praise Atlus for always looking at new ways to help keep their games unique and different.

If you’re interested in what DLC will be available for the game and when then be sure to check out the official Persona 5 website at http://atlus.com/persona5/dlc.html

Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled youth who live dual lives. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high-schooler – attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people. Their power comes from the Persona, the Jungian concept of the “self;” the game’s heroes realize that society forces people to wear masks to protect their inner vulnerabilities, and by literally ripping off their protective mask and confronting their inner selves do the heroes awaken their inner power, and use it to strive to help those in need. Ultimately, the group of Phantom Thieves seeks to change their day-to-day world to match their perception and see through the masks modern-day society wears.
