Studio Trigger’s Little Witch Academia TV series has finally been given a western release date. Netflix told IGN recently that the first half of the series, 13 episodes, will premiere on the service from Friday, 30th June 2017.
There’s no news on when the rest of the series will be made available but it might be possible that these episodes will feature both English and Japanese audio options. There is no confirmation of this in the IGN article but Anime News Network has provided a list of the returning English voice cast. This could be the reason that Netflix decided to hold back the series from simulcasting on their service.
It’s great to know that we’re finally getting the series via a legal streaming platform but does it come too late to the party.
