Yesterday was meant to see the release of Disgaea 5 Complete for Windows PC via Steam but NIS America recently announced that the game’s release has been delayed into Summer 2018.
This comes after announcing a free demo available in partnership with Alienware Arena which has since been disabled until further notice and any keys already claimed will not work with new keys for the demo needed to be issued upon the demo’s re-release.
The reason for the unexpected delay comes in the form of a new issue that requires additional attention which is expected to take more time to resolve. Until this issue is resolved NIS America have postponed the release date and are targeting a release for Summer 2018.
NIS America has also addressed concerns of those who have pre-purchased Disgaea 5 Complete on Steam and while they will be posting updates as they continue to resolve the issue fans can request a refund if they so wish. NIS America’s COO, Mitsuharu Hiraoka had this to say on the subject:
“We thank you all for the support we have been given while we have
been working towards the release of Disgaea 5 Complete for PC, and we
wish to show our gratitude by providing our fans with the best quality
game on the PC platform. We hope that you continue to look forward to
this release as we proceed to work tirelessly to correct this issue.”
