Tokyo Comic Con saw an unveiling earlier today for the upcoming Batman Ninja anime which included a trailer, new visual and cast of the film.
Taking place within feudal Japan this film will be like no Batman we have seen before and it looks fantastic. Kamikaze Douga is helming the project with Junpei Mizusaki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) in the director’s chair, Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) on character design and Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill) as the screenwriter. Joining the team on music composition is Yuugo Kanno (Psycho-Pass, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable). If those names don’t get you excited then I doubt anything will.
Kamikaze Douga are known for their work with CG as evidenced by the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Stardust Crusaders opening animation. Batman Ninja clearly also adopts this visual style and it’s never looked better!
