ping-pong-coverMCM Manchester 2015 starts in the morning, but Anime Limited have chosen to get ahead of the game and announced a new acquisition this evening. Anime Limited announced that they will be bringing Ping Pong The Animation to both DVD and Blu-ray this October. On-disc content will include all 11 episodes, both English and Japanese audio, with English subtitles, and an array of extras. “Ping Pong is a title I’ve had my eyes on for a quite for a while. It’s unique animation style coupled with the quality of story telling and the actual playing of Table Tennis itself, keeping in mind I’m really not that well versed in the sport at all, makes this show something that everyone should really go out of their way to see. I’m delighted we’ve been able to add this to our ever-expanding catalogue.” – Andrew Partridge, President of Anime Limited

On top of this, Anime Limited also teased the beginnings of the fourth quarter line-up of releases. Alongside Ping Pong The Animation, October will see the release of Sword Art Online II: Part 2 on both DVD and Collector’s Edition Blu-ray. Meanwhile, November sees Fusé: Memoirs Of A Huntress releasing on a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray/DVD combi pack, and Samurai Flamenco: Part 1, as a subtitled only release, on Blu-ray. We expect to find out more of Anime Limited’s plans as MCM unfolds this weekend.
