The Autumn (Fall) 2016 Anime Season has begun, you can read our season preview here, but as the simulcasts slowly trickles in over the coming weeks here’s some physical media to occupy your time.
We start the week with Manga Entertainments release of everyone’s childhood favourite in Digimon: Digital Monsters Season 1 on DVD and another fan favourite in One Piece Uncut: Collection 13 again on DVD.
All the Anime release Free – Eternal Summer in glorious Collector’s Edition Blu-ray format. The standard Blu-ray and DVD editions of Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun Collection from MVM Entertainment also make their appearance today.
Studio Canal bring Studio Ghibli’s 2014 hit movie When Marnie Was There to the UK in Deluxe Collector’s Edition Combi Pack format, as well as, a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack and a standard edition DVD. Note: We’ve heard some rumbles from people that have received early copies that the Blu-ray is having some capability issues with Blu-ray players. Unfortunately, we don’t have a copy to confirm this but just be advised that this may affect you.
This week’s manga releases see a much more mixed selection when it comes to publishers which should serve to please fans. Releases of note this week include the Spice and Wolf Anniversary Collector’s Edition and Yen Press and Persona 3 volume 1 from Udon Entertainment.
