AnimeJapan 2014: Day 1

I’ve just returned from my first day at AnimeJapan and I can safely say it was one of the most fun and friendly events I have ever attended.
AnimeJapan 2014 takes the business market, vendor booths and stage events and throws them together in two large rooms. Previously the Tokyo International Anime Fair and the Anime Contents Expo were separate, but this year the two combined to make AnimeJapan.

The event is being held this weekend, March 22nd – 23rd at the incredible Tokyo Big Sight.

Today I was lucky enough to not only attend AnimeJapan, but also be there for a couple of the stage events too. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, which was fantastic, featuring the voice actors from the series and the stage event for Aldnoah.Zero the latest series from writer Gen Urobuchi of Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero fame.

To top it all off the staff and people I met today were really kind and passionate, I’m looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow!

Here are a few photos, sadly I didn’t have a camera with me today so these were taken on my phone, expect better quality pictures tomorrow.
